Pregnant women must consume food items that are rich in fiber. They must include fresh fruits and vegetables in their diet, as these are the best sources of dietary fiber. Along with fruits and vegetables, they must consume whole grains, oats, barley, cereals, brown rice, whole wheat bread, etc.
The term 'poop' refers to the solid waste matter that is eliminated out of the body during bowel evacuation. Usually, a healthy bowel movement produces brown colored stools. A change in stool color to green indicates that something is wrong with the intestines but can also mean too much consumption of certain foodstuffs. It is discussed below:
Light, whitish, or gray stool is the sign for lack of bile juice in the bowel movement. This condition may be caused due to abnormalities in the bile duct that supplies bile juice. Probable medical conditions for these abnormal bowel movements include gallstones, giardia infection, hepatitis, and liver cirrhosis. If you are taking antidiarrheal medications at present, they might be the reason for passing pale-colored stool.
Many food products such as candies, cake frosting, ice-cream, etc,. contain artificial food colors. Certain drinks also contain artificial color. These colors may result in green color stool. These food colors are unhealthy, hence you should avoid the consumption of products having artificial color.
