The normal infant's stool color depends on their age. As they are constantly on the food change process they have different stool color as they switch to different food, like breastfeeding then bottle feeding then their initial solid food and so on.
If you have the tendency to include a significant amount of green leafy in your daily diet plan, such as spinach, lettuce, and broccoli, it can result in green feces in adults. If you are a regular consumer of beet in your salads, you may observe a stool color that ranges from pink to dark red. Addition of food colors and dyes may also cause the excreta to turn green.
For the first few days, the newborn baby may actually have green poop, which is nothing but a green sticky substance called meconium. This is quite normal and there is nothing to worry about. It is just a matter of days before one starts seeing the baby's poop becoming brown. However, breastfeeding a baby frequently can also be responsible for green defecation.
Indigestion can be a reason behind green colored stool. Indigestion may cause diarrhea but it is common and can be cured easily. In children, problem with digestive health is very frequently, hence green color stool is very common in them.
